Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about BiteLabs
What is the BiteLabs Pharmaceutical & Leadership Fellowship?
The BiteLabs Pharmaceutical & Leadership Fellowship is a bespoke programme for individuals seeking to acquire hands-on experience and insight into the pharmaceutical sector. It combines practical training in the pharmaceutical industry with expert-led workshops and networking events.
What is the difference between the Fellowship with diploma vs the standard Fellowship (Fellowship without diploma)?
As with the standard fellowship, the Fellowship with diploma can be completed both fully remotely and hybrid. Upon completion, those on the diploma programme will receive a Level 7 Diploma in Global Pharma & Leadership accredited by EduQual. This is the equivalent of a Postgraduate Diploma. Diploma fellows have up to 2 years following the formal 8-week fellowship period to complete a series of fully remote and asynchronous assessments comprising single best-answer questions and essays, which will be reviewed and ratified by BiteLabs and our external regulators, EduQual. There are no post-fellowship assessments required for those on the standard fellowship.
Who are EduQual?
EduQual is a regulated awarding body, approved by SQA-Accreditation, a globally-recognised national qualifications regulator in the UK and a full member of the Federation of Awarding Bodies.
What are the payment options for the fellowship?
Your place on the programme is confirmed once payment is made. Bursaries are available to students and exceptional candidates. Additionally, NHS trainees may be able to utilise their professional development budget to cover the fees (depending on local guidelines). Klarna available at checkout.
How does Klarna work?
Klarna's Pay in 3 / Pay in 30 days are unregulated credit agreements. Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may negatively impact your financial status and ability to obtain credit. 18+, UK residents only. Subject to status. Ts&Cs and late fees apply.
Could you outline the programme structure?
Over eight weeks, the Fellowship comprises weekly two-hour evening workshops, conducted online, with three key in-person engagements in London (available to hybrid fellows). The curriculum is designed to incrementally build knowledge and skills from foundational to complex aspects of pharma. For Fellows who choose to do the Diploma, you will have up to 2 years following the fellowship to complete your assessments.
What is the expected time investment?
The Fellowship requires a commitment to weekly workshops and additional project work, totalling approximately 4-6 hours per week outside of the workshops, leading up to a capstone presentation on Demo Day. Fellows on the diploma programme will require an additional time commitment of up to 2 years following the fellowship to complete their part-time, remote, asynchronous assignments to complete the diploma.
Are fellows required to attend all in-person events?
Whilst attendance at in-person events is not obligatory, we strongly advocate for it to fully capitalise on the fellowship's learning and networking potential.
How does one apply?
Admission to the Fellowship is through a selective application process, taking into account an applicant’s background and potential for contribution to and benefit from the programme. Applications for our 2024 cohort is now open.
What networking and mentorship opportunities are available?
Participants will have numerous opportunities to engage with industry experts and peers, including mentorship sessions, collaborative projects, and networking events. Fellowship also grants access to job opportunities and a comprehensive alumni network.
